Everton sign Denmark midfielder Norgaard from Arsenal

Everton has strengthened its midfield by acquiring Denmark international Christian Norgaard from Arsenal. The 32-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Toffees for an undisclosed sum. Norgaard arrived at Arsenal last summer from Brentford but saw limited playing time, making only seven league starts as his team secured the Premier League title.

Norgaard, who becomes Everton's fourth acquisition of the current transfer window, expressed his desire for a change and a more significant role in football. "I felt I needed a change and to play a bigger football role," he told the club's website. "When I spoke to (Everton manager) David Moyes and others at the club involved in the transfer, I heard about the whole project and I was very intrigued. Coming here just makes that feeling even stronger."

He also highlighted the appeal of playing for Everton. "Also, my past experience of playing against Everton: the whole atmosphere, the fans, is something I really look forward to experience as an Everton player. It’s a big, big honour for me," Norgaard added.
