Everything ready for the South American Championship, starting Tuesday at Sol de América

The 45th South American Club Futsal Championship, Zone South, kicks off Tuesday at the Sol de América sports center in Paraguay. The tournament, organized by the South American Futsal Confederation (AMF), will feature eight clubs divided into two groups for the first phase.

Paraguayan representatives Deportivo Atenas and 12 de Junio will host the event. 12 de Junio is a former champion, having won the tournament in 2022 in Colombia. Deportivo Atenas is currently leading its group in the local Copa de Oro, showcasing strong recent form.

The participating clubs hail from Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay. Group A includes Palermo of Uruguay, SAF Talisma of Brazil, 12 de Junio of Paraguay, and Cotas Jr. of Bolivia. Group B consists of San Miguel of Uruguay, Deportivo Atenas of Paraguay, Deportivo Churros of Chile, and Furia Cruceña of Bolivia.

General admission tickets for the first stage are priced at 10,000 Paraguayan Guarani. The tournament follows a format of regional zones (South and North), with the top teams advancing to a final to be held at a yet-to-be-determined venue.
