Ex-lawmaker picks Kwara senate nomination form

I am here by the grace of God to indicate my interest to represent Kwara South in the next dispensation. Whatever we say or do, it is only God that determines who leads.

During his visit to the APC state secretariat in Ilorin, Makanjuola articulated his vision, emphasizing his commitment to service and recalling his previous electoral victories, which he attributed to performance and grassroots support rather than financial incentives. This stance positions him as a candidate focused on genuine representation and accountability, a narrative that resonates with voters tired of transactional politics.

To the glory of God, in my previous elections, no delegate collected a penny from me, both at the primaries and the general elections. That, for me, is a testament to God’s favour and the confidence of the people.

Makanjuola further underscored his qualifications by highlighting his 16 years of experience within the National Assembly, including roles as a legislator and Deputy Chief of Staff to the President. He assured party leaders and supporters that he would uphold principles of accessibility, protection of people's interests, and acting with the fear of God. His commitment to accountability was further demonstrated by his past practice of touring all wards in his constituency to thank constituents, reinforcing his strong grassroots connection. The APC State Chairman, Sunday Fagbemi, lauded Makanjuola as a modest and honest individual, reflecting the party's positive reception of his candidacy.
