Suva Grammar School is buzzing with anticipation as three of its grades, Under-16, Under-17, and Under-18, have advanced to the Vodafone Super Deans national finals. The Under-18 team's journey holds particular significance, marking their return to the national finals after a three-year hiatus.

According to Suva Grammar spokesman Stanley Simpson, the team's success stems from a comprehensive rugby program that emphasizes development beyond just game victories. Simpson highlighted the team's thorough preparation, stating that "no stone has been unturned" in their efforts to secure the championship.

Simpson conveyed a sense of excitement within the Lions camp, acknowledging the inherent tension that comes with reaching the finals. He expressed pride in the players' efforts, noting that "win or lose, we celebrate." The team's philosophy centers on acknowledging the players' achievements regardless of the final outcome.

Meanwhile, their opponents, Lelean, are maintaining a low profile as the competition intensifies. The highly anticipated final between Lelean and Suva Grammar is scheduled for Saturday at 6:10 PM, concluding the 2026 National Deans competition. All matches, including the Weet-Bix Raluve finals, will be broadcast live on FBC Sports.
