Exim Tours enhances client protection with larger bank guarantee

Polish travel agency Exim Tours is significantly enhancing its client protection measures by transitioning from an insurance-based guarantee to a larger bank guarantee.

Effective August 31, the company's client funds will be secured by NORD/LB, a major German regional bank. This new guarantee will amount to 160.2 million Polish zloty, an increase of over 22 million zloty compared to the current insurance guarantee of 138.1 million zloty. Exim Tours highlighted that this represents an approximately 16% increase in its financial security.

Marcin Małysz, CEO of Exim Tours, stated that the increased guarantee reflects the growing scale of the company's operations. "From the clients' perspective, only the form of security changes – their funds remain protected just as they were before," Małysz assured. He emphasized that the shift to a bank guarantee is a "next stage of development" for Exim, made possible by the backing and commitment of its owner, the REWE Group.

NORD/LB, the bank providing the guarantee, boasts a long history dating back to 1765 and serves as a central bank for savings banks in Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. The bank specializes in corporate, institutional, and public sector clients and maintains representative offices in London and New York.

While Exim Tours is changing its primary guarantee provider, it will continue its strategic partnership with ERGO Travel Insurance. The company indicated plans to deepen this collaboration and develop new insurance products tailored to customer needs. Exim Tours is recognized as the sixth-largest travel company in Poland, with reported revenues of 1.1 billion zloty and serving 325,200 clients last year. The agency specializes in dynamic packaging and charter package holidays.
