External interference claims in MB appointment baseless, says Zahid Hamidi

Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, chairman of Barisan Nasional, has strongly refuted allegations of outside interference in the appointment of the new Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan. The UMNO president dismissed the claims as unfounded, emphasizing that the process for nominating candidates for the position adheres to official procedures.

Speaking from Putrajaya, Ahmad Zahid asserted that the process for proposing names for the Menteri Besar role inherently involves official channels. He did not elaborate further on the specific nature of these channels but indicated that the appointment of Datuk Ismail Lasim was conducted through the proper mechanisms.

The denial comes amid speculation about external influences on the state's leadership selection. Ahmad Zahid's firm rebuttal aims to clarify the situation and assert the integrity of the appointment process within the established political framework.
