Extreme heat of up to +44 to return, but not across all Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is bracing for a shift in weather as a northwestern cyclone is forecast to sweep across the country from July 23 to 25. Forecasters predict that this system will bring rain accompanied by thunderstorms to most regions, with some areas experiencing heavy precipitation and hail.

Alongside the rainfall, colder air masses are expected to move into Kazakhstan. This influx of cooler air will lead to a noticeable drop in temperatures across many parts of the country, offering some relief from warmer conditions.

However, the western regions of Kazakhstan are set to experience a starkly different weather scenario. Warm and dry air masses originating from Iran will begin to influence this area. Consequently, precipitation is expected to cease, and air temperatures will rise significantly.

According to Kazhydromet, daytime temperatures in these western areas are predicted to reach between +34 and +39 degrees Celsius. In some localized spots, the heat is expected to be even more intense, with forecasts predicting extreme temperatures of up to +40 to +44 degrees Celsius.
