Faizal Tahir open to Siti Nurhaliza guest spot, budget permitting

Malaysian singer Faizal Tahir is considering inviting national songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza to perform as a guest artist at his upcoming solo concert, "Konsert Faizal Tahir: Suara Rakyat," scheduled for October.

However, Tahir, whose real name is Ahmad Faizal Mohammad Tahir, 48, stated that the feasibility of this collaboration hinges on the concert organizer's financial capacity. He acknowledged that securing a legendary artist like Siti Nurhaliza comes with a substantial price tag, reflecting her esteemed position in the Malaysian entertainment industry. "We have to accept the reality that to get the best, including featuring a legend in the performance, there is a price to pay," he explained.

Tahir made these remarks at a press conference for the concert held at The Campus, Ampang. He stressed that he does not wish to pressure any artist into participating, prioritizing a comfortable and willing environment for everyone involved. "If I feel it's difficult to get Siti and she attends under duress, I don't want that to happen. But if everything goes smoothly and everyone is comfortable, I have no problem," he said.

At this stage of his career, Tahir prefers to simplify processes rather than force outcomes. "At my age now and with various commitments to consider, I just want to make things easier for everyone. If something doesn't work out, it's okay. We move on to other plans," he added. The "Konsert Faizal Tahir: Suara Rakyat" will take place on October 3 at Unifi Arena, Kuala Lumpur. Pre-sale tickets will be available on June 9, with general sales opening the following day, June 10.
