Familiar faces for Lelean in final showdown

Lelean Memorial School is determined to secure the Vodafone Super Deans Under 18 title when they face Suva Grammar School in the final. This marks the third consecutive year the Davuilevu team has reached the national final, carrying the lessons from previous seasons into this crucial match. Their history with Grammar is complex; Lelean lost the U16 final to them in 2024 but avenged that defeat by eliminating Grammar in the U17 semi-finals last year.

These past encounters fuel Lelean's motivation as they prepare for another showdown. Assistant Principal Ulaiyasi Vakatawakoula stated that the "Davuilevu Warriors" have intensely worked on improving their defensive shape, attacking strategies, and mental fortitude. He acknowledged Suva Grammar's formidable forward pack as the primary obstacle they must overcome.

"We respect Suva Grammar and we will be there at HFC Bank Stadium to meet them in the final," Vakatawakoula said. "We also would like to urge our fans to come out in numbers. We thank the school, students, our families, our stakeholders, our old scholars and the Methodist Church of Fiji, especially as we are in Conference Week."
