Father fumes over Vilnius municipality's decisions: 'Bulldozer without any plan'

The "Vyturio" primary school in Vilnius is preparing for a significant, albeit temporary, relocation. Starting in September 2026, the school plans to operate from temporary facilities for approximately two years, moving from its current address on Taikos Street to new premises on J. Balčikonio Street.

Martynas Suzanovičius, chairman of the Parents' Council at "Vyturio" primary school, voiced strong dissatisfaction with the Vilnius municipality's handling of the situation. He described the municipality's decisions as lacking a clear plan and expressed frustration over the prolonged "temporary" nature of the move, which is expected to last for a couple of years.

The relocation raises concerns about the disruption to the educational process and the adequacy of the temporary facilities. Parents are seeking clarity and reassurance regarding the school's future and the management of this transition.
