FC Copenhagen coach satisfied after 3-0 win: 'It looked quite stable'

FC Copenhagen opened their new season with a solid 3-0 away victory over Debrecen in the Conference League qualifiers, extending their unbeaten streak. Coach Bo Svensson was pleased with the team's performance, particularly their control of the match after the initial 15-20 minutes.

"Apart from the first 15 minutes and perhaps also the first 20 minutes of the second half, I think we were in full control, even though we didn't always have the ball that much," Svensson told FCK's website. "But they didn't create anything, and we scored three good goals ourselves and had a couple more chances, so I think it looked quite stable."

The team achieved its first clean sheet of the season, a point of satisfaction for the coach. "I am also happy that we could finally play to zero, and let's hope that becomes a bigger trend, because against the ball we still have something to work on, and I think there are also phases where we are wasteful with the ball, so there is still a lot of tidying up to do," he added.

FC Copenhagen is now in a strong position to advance to the playoff round, with the second leg against Debrecen scheduled for Wednesday. If they progress, they will face either FC Inter Turku or FC Vaduz for a spot in the Conference League.
