Fiji Blue remains unbeaten after close win at Netball Invitational Tournament

Crest Fiji Blue maintained its undefeated streak at the Netball Fiji Invitational Tournament, securing a close 45-43 victory over the youthful Auckland Fijians.

Captain Maria Lutua expressed that the win was particularly encouraging as the team continues to forge new combinations on court. "We're just building. There are new combinations coming in and this is probably the second game that we've ever played together as a team and as a whole," Lutua said.

Despite the win, Fiji Blue faced a strong challenge from the Auckland Fijians, who pushed them throughout the match. "Honestly, that was a very close game. Auckland Fijians came out strong. They didn't give us any space to breathe," Lutua commented, praising her teammates for their composure under pressure.
