Film Script Auction Raises Over Rp 18 Million for NTT Earthquake Victims

A heartwarming display of solidarity unfolded in Jakarta as the 'Celebrating Independence Through Cinema' event successfully raised over Rp 18.3 million to aid victims of the recent earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT).

The centerpiece of the fundraising efforts was the auction of the original script for the film 'Berbagi Suami'. This script alone garnered a significant Rp 15 million from a collector. Additional funds were raised through the auction of costumes, totaling Rp 2.5 million, and a 20% allocation from the ticket sales, which amounted to Rp 843,000, bringing the total donation to Rp 18,343,000.

The event, organized by the Gen Z film community Ledakan in collaboration with GLITZ Inclusive, also provided attendees with an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming film, 'Berbagi Suami 2.0'. The sequel is slated for release in early 2027.

Director Nia Dinata and several cast members of 'Berbagi Suami 2.0', including Morgan Oey, Jihane Almira, Leony V.H, and Sharon Sitania, were present at the event, sharing insights and engaging with the audience. The film's production details, including the director, producers, cinematographer, and cast list, were also shared, highlighting the collaborative effort behind the project.
