Firefighters rescue 20 guests from stalled Legoland roller coaster in Denmark

Firefighters successfully rescued 20 guests who were stranded 10 meters above the ground when a roller coaster at Legoland in Billund, Denmark, malfunctioned. The "Minifigure Speedway" attraction ground to a halt shortly before 5:30 PM on Wednesday, prompting an emergency response.

Specialized high-altitude rescue teams were deployed by the fire department to bring the stranded visitors down. By approximately 8 PM, Legoland confirmed to Ritzau that all guests had been safely assisted off the ride. The park noted that the guests were in good spirits despite the unexpected delay, with no injuries reported.

According to operations manager Morten Jeppesen, the situation was managed calmly, and no panic ensued among the guests, who experienced some wind exposure during their wait. Legoland is now investigating the cause of the stoppage. The park emphasized that the ride's safety systems activated as intended, and it will not be put back into service until it has been thoroughly inspected and approved.
