Fistfight breaks out between teenagers in front of Satu Mare high school; one hospitalized

A physical confrontation erupted outside the "Constantin Brâncuși" Technological High School in Satu Mare, Romania, involving several young individuals. The incident, which took place around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, began as a verbal argument between three teenagers and a 21-year-old man. Witnesses reported that the dispute, stemming from unspecified prior disagreements, quickly escalated into a fist and foot fight on the sidewalk in front of the school. Bystanders intervened to separate the brawlers and alerted emergency services. Police and gendarmerie units, along with an ambulance, were dispatched to the scene. During the altercation, an 18-year-old from Ardud and a 19-year-old from Mărtinești sustained blows to the face and upper limbs from a 17-year-old minor and the 21-year-old man, both from Turț. The 18-year-old required medical attention and was taken to the hospital, though he was not admitted for further treatment. The two victims were informed about the possibility of obtaining a temporary protection order but declined the measure. Police have initiated a criminal investigation into the incident, classifying it as "blows or other violence," and are working to determine the exact sequence of events and the roles of each participant.
