Court records indicate that the accused, Hisham Abugharbieh, may have used ChatGPT to seek advice on disposing of a body, a chilling development that broadens the scope of the probe. This follows an earlier inquiry into the AI's potential role in a previous mass shooting, intensifying scrutiny on the accountability of artificial intelligence in criminal acts. The families of Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy, both Bangladeshi nationals, are demanding the harshest penalties for the accused and are also pursuing legal action against the off-campus housing complex where Abugharbieh resided, citing alleged security failures. The students were last seen on April 16, and while Limon's remains were found, Bristy remains missing.
