Fog and heavy rain to hit Kazakhstan as temperatures soar to +44°C

Kazakhstan is set to experience a dramatic clash of weather patterns in the coming days, with forecasts predicting heavy rain and thunderstorms in some areas while extreme heat bakes others. This meteorological duality presents a challenging environment across the vast Central Asian nation. Atmospheric fronts are expected to bring rain and thunderstorms to several parts of the country, accompanied by the possibility of hail and squally winds. Specifically, northern Kazakhstan and the mountainous regions of the southeast are anticipated to endure heavy rainfall on August 11. In contrast, the central and southern regions are expected to remain largely dry. Residents in the northwest, north, and east may encounter fog during the nighttime and early morning hours. Meanwhile, a significant heatwave is forecast to grip southern Kazakhstan, with temperatures potentially soaring to a scorching +44°C. Daytime temperatures across the country will vary considerably. Western and central regions can expect highs ranging from +27°C to +39°C. The northwest and north will experience slightly cooler temperatures, between +25°C and +35°C. Eastern and southeastern areas are projected to see temperatures rise between +30°C and +42°C. The southern part of the country, however, stands to bear the brunt of the heat.
