Football: Four Besta deild karla matches conclude

Football fans in Iceland were treated to five matches in the Besta deild karla on Sunday. Four of these games were covered live by mbl.is, with live updates provided for four of them.

In the early evening fixtures, Stjarnan secured a 1-0 victory over Keflavík, thanks to a goal from Bjarki Hauksson in the 50th minute. Meanwhile, ÍA emerged victorious against Þór with a 2-0 scoreline, as Viktor Jónsson scored in the 29th minute and Erik Sandberg added another in the 55th.

The match between Víkingur and ÍBV ended in a 2-2 draw. Daði Berg Jónsson opened the scoring for Víkingur in the 43rd minute, and Sveinn Margeir Hauksson extended their lead in the 47th. However, ÍBV fought back with goals from Sesar Örn Harðarson in the 2nd minute and Vicente Valor in the 89th minute, securing a point.

In the final match covered, KA suffered a 0-1 defeat to FH, with Ísak Óli Ólafsson scoring the decisive goal in the 70th minute. The highly anticipated match between Breiðablik and Valur, scheduled for 20:15, was not part of this live coverage.
