Foreign construction workers involved in scuffle in Bishkek

A conflict erupted in a dormitory among foreign workers employed at a Bishkek construction site, leading to a scuffle. The incident, which occurred on May 14, gained attention when a video of the altercation circulated on social media platforms.

Law enforcement officials investigated the matter. Following their inquiry, a 33-year-old individual identified as the instigator was held accountable under Article 126 of the Code of Offenses for petty hooliganism. A report was filed against him, and he was subsequently placed in a temporary detention facility.

In addition to addressing the conflict, police also conducted checks on the documents of the foreign nationals involved and inspected the operations of the construction company. No violations were found during these inspections. The foreign workers were reminded of the legal requirements in the Kyrgyz Republic and the potential consequences for violations, including deportation.
