Forest Fires in Kalimantan Cause Haze in Six Sabah Areas

Six areas in Sabah, Malaysia, experienced moderate air quality on Tuesday, as haze from forest fires in Kalimantan drifted across the region. The most affected area was the Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic, which recorded the highest Air Pollution Index (API) reading in Sabah at 85 by 3 p.m.

This reading marked a significant increase from the 77 recorded at 5 a.m. the same day, indicating a deteriorating haze situation. Other areas in Kota Kinabalu also reported elevated API levels, contributing to the widespread impact of the transboundary pollution.
