Forest Guard and former director clash over service car, police intervene

Mirel Idorași, the former chief of the Forest Guard in Bucharest, is embroiled in a dispute over a service vehicle he allegedly refused to return after his tenure.

The institution claims the car, equipped with a GPS tracking system, was located and recovered with police intervention following repeated unsuccessful requests for its return. Alexandru Dumitru, a representative of the Forest Guard, stated that the vehicle remained at Idorași's home and that he insisted the car belonged to him by right.

Idorași's wife reportedly handed over the car keys, registration certificate, and fuel card before the police arrived. However, the former director denies the allegations, asserting he received no official notification to return the vehicle or any other assets under his management. He also suggested the car has technical problems and contested previous accusations against him.
