Former Councilor Hacked to Death by Miscreants in Bhairab

Md Al Amin Saikat, a former ward councilor of Bhairab municipality and general secretary of the municipal Jubo League, was killed in a brutal hacking attack early today. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. in the Tinpatti area of Bhairab town, where a group of assailants attacked Saikat, 40, indiscriminately.

Saikat sustained severe injuries from the attack and was subsequently rescued. He was transported to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment, but doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. The attack has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising concerns about safety and the prevalence of such violence.
