Former PM Morawiecki Unveils 'Rozwój Plus' Program with Ten Pillars for Poland

Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has announced a new development program, "Rozwój Plus," outlining ten foundational pillars for the nation's future. Leading the initiative through the "Rozwój Plus" association, Morawiecki presented the program on the social platform X, emphasizing the need for "great ambitions" and individuals willing to take responsibility for their realization.

The ten pillars include Patriotism as the guiding principle for all decisions, respect for the democratically elected president, a secure Poland, an autonomous migration policy, strengthening the tax system, accelerating nuclear energy development, opposing the EU's climate policy, reviving strategic investments, promoting a "Poland in a smartphone" initiative, and prioritizing victory.

Morawiecki elaborated on "patriotism as a compass," stating that all economic, social, and international decisions by "Rozwój Plus" politicians will be guided by "the interest of Poland and the values of Poles," rather than ideology or foreign influence. He praised President Karol Nawrocki as a "statesman" and a crucial institutional counterweight to the current government.

Under the banner of national security, Morawiecki stressed the importance of a well-equipped army, intermarium cooperation, and a strong NATO alliance, advocating for permanent U.S. bases in Poland as a top foreign policy goal. Regarding migration, he asserted that "the safety of Poles must always be paramount," calling for strong opposition to the EU's migration pact and maintaining strict border control.

The program also addresses economic and energy policies, proposing tax system reforms to benefit Polish businesses and significantly increase the second tax bracket threshold. Morawiecki called for prioritizing stable, modern, and affordable energy through the development of large-scale nuclear power plants and small modular reactors. He criticized the EU's Green Deal and related policies, deeming them detrimental to Polish industry, agriculture, and citizens' finances, and calling for their removal to enhance European competitiveness.
