Four Dead, One Child Survives as Tree Crushes Ford Raptor in Janda Baik

A tragic accident on the old Kuala Lumpur-Janda Baik road claimed four lives when a large tree fell onto a Ford Raptor carrying five people. The incident, which occurred around 12:30 p.m., resulted in the immediate deaths of the driver, a 35-year-old man, a 36-year-old woman in the front passenger seat, and a 40-year-old man in the back.

A five-year-old boy, who was seated on the lap of the woman in the front, miraculously survived the horrific incident. He sustained injuries and was rushed to Bentong Hospital for treatment. Police identified the boy as likely being the twin of another child who perished in the crash, based on identification documents found at the scene.

Bentong District Police Chief, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd. Kahar, confirmed that authorities received the report from the public shortly after the incident. A rescue team was dispatched to the location, where they found the vehicle completely crushed by the fallen tree. The bodies were transported to Temerloh Hospital for post-mortem examinations.

Investigations into the cause of the tree's collapse are ongoing. Authorities are working to determine the factors that led to the massive tree falling onto the vehicle, causing this devastating loss of life.
