Four family members buried in a single grave after fatal tree-falling tragedy

A family of four was tragically killed when a large tree fell onto their vehicle on the old Kuala Lumpur-Karak road near Janda Baik. The victims, identified as Mohd. Radzi Rahimi, 40, his wife Nuraini Mohammad Jafri, 36, their 5-year-old son Muhammad Rizz Hazim, and his brother-in-law Mohammad Nizam Mohammad Jafri, 35, were buried together in a single grave.

The funeral took place at the Sri Chedung Islamic Cemetery in Maran early yesterday morning. Prior to the burial, the bodies were claimed by family members between 10 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. after undergoing post-mortems at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh. The funeral prayers were attended by the Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

The tragic incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. the previous day. The family was traveling from Genting Highlands towards Janda Baik when their pickup truck was struck by the massive falling tree near the Janda Baik gateway.

One of the couple's twin sons, Muhammad Rizz Haziq, survived the accident but sustained injuries. He is currently receiving treatment at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh.

Approximately 1,000 people, including family, local residents, political leaders, and friends of the deceased Mohd. Radzi, gathered to pay their final respects. His presence at the burial highlighted his close ties and contributions to the local community.
