Four Killed in Fresh Russian Strikes on Kyiv

At least four people died and over a dozen were injured in fresh Russian missile strikes that hit Ukraine's capital, Kyiv. City officials confirmed the casualties following an alert from Kyiv's mayor warning of a ballistic missile attack. The city's military administration reported four fatalities, while Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that 15 individuals, including two teenagers, were wounded and hospitalized.

Explosions were heard across the city, with journalists reporting more than ten consecutive blasts that triggered car alarms. These attacks come as Russia escalates its long-range strikes on Ukrainian towns and cities. This escalation follows a period where Ukraine has also increased its retaliatory strikes on Russian territory in recent months.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with US President Donald Trump this week. Zelensky stated after the meeting that Trump had agreed to license Patriot missile production for Ukraine. Trump, however, offered a more reserved comment, saying "many things were discussed" and that the meeting "went very well."
