Four Men Captured in Hidalgo; Three Were Priority Targets for Alleged Criminal Activities

Authorities in Hidalgo, Mexico, have arrested four men, three of whom are considered high-priority targets due to their alleged involvement in criminal activities that destabilize the region. The arrests occurred in the municipality of Tepeapulco following an anonymous tip about suspicious vehicles.

The operation, a coordinated effort between the Secretariat of Public Security of Hidalgo (SSPH) and the National Guard, focused on two tractor-trailers with tank trailers escorted by two suspicious vans. Responding to the alert, law enforcement officers deployed to the Tepeapulco-Santo Tomás highway.

During the intervention, officers discovered the two tractor-trailers abandoned on a dirt road within Tepeapulco. Nearby, they located the two vans occupied by the four arrested individuals. A search of the suspects yielded two long firearms, two handguns, ammunition, approximately 1,300 doses of suspected marijuana, and 227 doses of suspected crystal methamphetamine. Additionally, a gram scale and five mobile phones were confiscated.

The detainees, along with the seized weapons, suspected drugs, vehicles, and other items, have been handed over to the relevant authorities. These authorities will now proceed to determine the legal status of those arrested.
