Free European Travel with DiscoverEU: Applications Closing in 5 Days

The European Union's DiscoverEU program is once again opening its doors, offering a unique opportunity for young Europeans to embark on an unforgettable journey across the continent. This initiative, designed to foster a sense of European identity and encourage sustainable travel, is now accepting applications for its latest round.

This program specifically targets young individuals on the cusp of adulthood, providing them with the means to explore Europe's diverse cultures and landscapes. Participants, born between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2008, and legally residing in EU member states or associated third countries, are eligible to apply.

The core of the DiscoverEU experience is the free travel pass, primarily for train travel, promoting eco-friendly mobility. Beyond transportation, successful candidates will also receive a special discount card, unlocking reduced prices for accommodation, cultural attractions, and local transport. This comprehensive package aims to make European exploration accessible and enriching.

Applications are open until April 22, 2026, with travel opportunities extending from July 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. The application process involves a visit to the European Youth Portal and a short quiz on European Union general knowledge. This initiative not only offers a chance for adventure but also serves as an educational tool, deepening young people's understanding and appreciation of Europe.
