Fubon Guardians Part Ways with Pitcher Bonnydo Due to Family Reasons

The Fubon Guardians have announced a change in their foreign player roster, with pitcher Bonnydo departing the team due to pressing family matters. Bonnydo, who had been a part of the Guardians' lineup for 19 games this season, will be returning home, a decision that the club has respected and supported. "Bonnydo had expressed concerns about his family about two weeks ago and was considering returning home," stated Fubon's Assistant General Manager Lin Wei-chu. "He had initially thought he could stay until the end of the first half of the season, but the situation continued to affect him, and the club considered his feelings and respected his decision." This departure leaves a vacancy in the Guardians' foreign player contingent, which currently consists solely of pitchers. Lin Wei-chu elaborated on the team's next steps, "Bonnydo's departure was rather sudden. We have been continuously evaluating potential foreign players, both pitchers and position players. We will now be more certain about whether we need to find a pitcher or a position player; the possibility of a position player is quite high." The team is also considering the potential need for an infielder, taking into account the elbow condition of player Chang Yu-cheng. The decision on which of the current foreign pitchers – Weigo Shen, Ailigo, or Abe Yudai – will be promoted to the active roster is also under review by the coaching staff.
