G-SHOCK unveils jet-inspired Gravitymaster watch with advanced shock-resistant design

G-SHOCK, a brand renowned for its rugged timepieces, has unveiled its latest Gravitymaster watch, the GWR-B3000 series. Inspired by the design and performance of supersonic jets, this new model aims to push the boundaries of durability and precision for aviators and adventurers.

The watch boasts a novel dual-layer hollow case structure, a product of Topology Optimization computer-aided engineering. This design integrates multiple metal parts with resin shock absorbers on the outer layer, while the inner layer utilizes lightweight yet high-strength carbon fiber reinforced resin. This construction not only bolsters shock resistance but also creates a visually appealing layered effect of intricate mechanical structures.

Equipped with the upgraded TOUGH MVT.2 solar-powered movement, the GWR-B3000 series combines Tough Solar power, Multiband 6 radio-controlled timekeeping, and Bluetooth connectivity. A standout feature is its active detection system, which automatically corrects any pointer deviation caused by severe impacts and temporarily halts operation in strong magnetic fields, ensuring accurate time display even in demanding conditions.

The GWR-B3000 series also features a wide, three-dimensional dial with large hands and raised indices for quick time legibility, even at high speeds. A dual-time display caters to pilots and international travelers. The sub-dials subtly incorporate solar panels, allowing for deep, opaque dial colors while harnessing light for power. The watch is finished with a comfortable and durable polyurethane strap, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal.
