Genera-Z Participants to Implement Ideas in Four Tourist Villages

Four winning teams from the Genera-Z Berbakti 2026 program are set to implement their innovative ideas in four distinct tourist villages across Indonesia. These teams, comprised of university students, emerged victorious after a rigorous selection process, including a bootcamp designed to equip them with essential skills.

The winning teams and their designated villages are: Tim Laskar Selasik (UGM) at Desa Wisata Kreatif Terong in Belitung Regency, Tim Mega Lestari (UNPAD) at Desa Wisata Situs Gunung Padang in Cianjur Regency, Tim Amerta Pertiwi (UNAIR) at Desa Wisata Patakbanteng in Wonosobo Regency, and Tim KATALIS (UI) at Desa Wisata Kakaskasen Dua in Tomohon City.

Nicholas Saputra, a program ambassador and panelist, highlighted that the winning proposals offer solutions worth anticipating. "We hope all selected campuses can map problems and offer relevant solutions in the field," Saputra stated. "We hope all winners will increasingly understand the community's needs when they are in the field, so they can prioritize and perfect their respective programs."

Prior to their village assignments, participants underwent a comprehensive bootcamp. This training covered crucial areas such as community needs assessment, program planning, team building, data processing, and health, safety, and environment knowledge. Team members like Fauzyiah from UGM and Usamah from UNAIR emphasized the bootcamp's value in strengthening their readiness and deepening their understanding of community service, stressing the importance of collaboration and understanding local perspectives.
