Global Sumud Fleet Sets Sail for Gaza with 56 Civilian Ships

A coalition of international civil society organizations, activists, and volunteers has launched a significant humanitarian mission, the '2026 Spring Mission' of the Global Sumud Fleet. Departing from Sicily, the fleet, comprising 56 civilian vessels, is en route to Gaza with the crucial objective of delivering much-needed humanitarian aid. The fleet's journey began in Barcelona on April 12, and after reaching the Italian island of Sicily on April 23, it was bolstered by additional activists and their boats.
