Gogol Street Section in Bishkek Closed for Heating Main Replacement

Residents and drivers in Bishkek are advised of a temporary traffic restriction on Gogol Street, effective April 30. The closure affects the segment between Ogonbaev and Frunze streets, a necessary measure to facilitate the replacement of a deteriorating heating main and prepare for subsequent road repairs. Bishkekteploset, the city's heating network company, detailed that this critical work is part of a larger survey and renovation project for underground utilities. Investigations revealed that the heating main in this specific section, originally commissioned in 1980, is in an unsatisfactory condition and requires complete replacement. During the excavation and replacement process, traffic will be rerouted. Following the completion of the heating main installation, the road surface will be repaved with new asphalt. Bishkekteploset emphasized that these efforts are crucial for preventing potential accidents, enhancing the reliability of the city's heat supply, and bolstering the overall safety of urban infrastructure. The municipality urges all citizens to take note of these temporary closures and adjust their travel plans accordingly to minimize inconvenience.
