Gökkuşağı Kafe celebrates 15 years of empowering individuals with special needs

The Gökkuşağı Kafe, an initiative by the Tepebaşı Municipality dedicated to supporting individuals with special needs, marked its 15th anniversary with a celebration of its achievements in vocational and social development. Since its opening on July 13, 2011, the cafe has provided a vital space for participants to gain skills, build confidence, and integrate into the workforce.

The anniversary gathering brought together Mayor Dt. Ahmet Ataç, individuals with special needs who have transitioned into employment after training at the cafe, current trainees, their families, and guests. The event was filled with joy and pride as success stories of individuals moving from education to employment were shared. Mayor Ataç was moved by special songs and a poem dedicated to him by the trainees, underscoring the strong bonds formed at the cafe.

A significant aspect of the celebration was the cutting of a 15th-anniversary cake and a heartwarming moment when a trainee invited Mayor Ataç to dance. Four young individuals who found employment after their training at Gökkuşağı Kafe presented gifts to the mayor, expressing their gratitude for the opportunities and support provided. Mayor Ataç expressed his immense happiness and pride in their professional achievements.
