Gorontalo Prosecutors Name 3 Suspects in Command Center Corruption Case

Prosecutors in Gorontalo have identified three suspects in an alleged corruption case concerning the procurement of a command center video wall for the provincial Communication and Informatics Office. The suspects are HD, Director of PT Priok Integrasi Universal (the provider); RP, a commitment-making official at the Dinas Kominfo; and AB, Operational Director of PT Priok Integrasi Universal.

The Gorontalo High Prosecutor's Office stated that sufficient evidence has been gathered to name the suspects. According to Ahmad Hajar Zunaidi, Head of Special Crimes at the Prosecutor's Office, the project in 2022 involved an budget of Rp 5 billion from the regional budget. However, investigators discovered deviations in the implementation.

Investigators found that the budgeting for the command center video wall procurement did not adhere to regulations. They also identified price manipulation, with the commitment-making official and the provider allegedly colluding to set prices. Furthermore, there were discrepancies between the specified items and the goods received by the Communication and Informatics Office, along with inflated prices or markups on items listed in the contract.

During the investigation, prosecutors interviewed 21 witnesses, obtained statements from three experts, and collected 52 documents and three mobile phones related to the case.
