Group gets N1bn, 27 buses to support Yayi’s gov bid

In a significant show of support for the 2027 governorship bid of Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, the Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM) has pledged a substantial N1 billion and 27 branded buses. This move, announced at the group's inauguration in Abeokuta, underscores the strong backing Adeola commands within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, having been adopted as the party's consensus candidate.

The donation is earmarked for crucial campaign logistics and extensive grassroots mobilization, signaling a well-funded and organized effort to ensure Adeola's victory. Convener Armstrong Akintunde emphasized that the movement's commitment transcends individual ambition, focusing instead on securing the future of Ogun State through Adeola's perceived competence and proven track record.

Furthermore, the YPM used the occasion to reaffirm its loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, pledging that Ogun State will deliver the highest number of votes in the South-West region for the President's re-election in 2027.
