Gyeonggi Province Launches 'Gyeonggi Tour Pass' and 'Bay Valley Tour Pass' Simultaneously

Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, is rolling out two innovative tourism passes designed to enhance the travel experience for both domestic and international visitors. The 'Gyeonggi Tour Pass' and the 'Bay Valley Tour Pass' are set to launch in time for the May holidays, a peak travel season, signaling a strategic effort to capitalize on increased tourism demand and stimulate the regional economy.

The 'Gyeonggi Tour Pass' is an integrated access ticket that grants users freedom to explore a wide array of participating tourist sites and experience facilities across all 31 cities and counties within Gyeonggi Province. Currently offering 24-hour and 48-hour options, the pass already includes over 130 locations, with plans to expand this network to 200 by the end of the year. This initiative is particularly focused on promoting longer stays and encouraging visitors to delve deeper into the province's diverse attractions, making travel more affordable and convenient.

As it enters its fourth year of sales, the Gyeonggi Tour Pass has proven its utility and is a representative tourism product eagerly awaited by many users. We have planned it to further enhance convenience and increase usage, aiming to more actively promote in-province stays.

Complementing this is the 'Bay Valley Tour Pass,' a pioneering cross-regional tourism product that bridges southern Gyeonggi Province and northern Chungnam Province. This initiative represents a significant step in inter-provincial cooperation, aiming to create a unified tourism market that benefits both regions. The launch includes a special limited-edition 'My Own Landmark' package, allowing users to select two major attractions from each region at a discounted price. Officials from the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization express optimism, highlighting the proven utility of the Gyeonggi Tour Pass and the potential of the Bay Valley Tour Pass to foster sustained tourism growth through collaborative efforts.
