Habib Launches Latest Merdeka Collection to Celebrate Heritage

Jewelry retailer Habib is celebrating Malaysia's National Day with a special "Habib Merdeka Campaign" throughout August. The campaign aims to honor local heritage and foster national unity through the launch of exclusive jewelry and gold wafer collections.

The "Tengkolok Collection" features rings and bracelets inspired by the headwear worn by Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, the father of independence, during the first independence declaration in 1957. The designs are based on the "Dendam Tak Sudah" style of Negeri Sembilan, symbolizing resilience and unwavering spirit, reinterpreted with contemporary touches.

The design is inspired by the Dendam Tak Sudah style, a traditional Negeri Sembilan fold of the tengkolok, symbolizing resilience and an unwavering spirit.

Complementing the jewelry is the "MY Corak Gold Wafer Collection." These 999.9 gold wafers are inspired by the unique cultural heritage of Malaysia's northern, southern, central, eastern, and east coast regions. Each wafer design showcases iconic landmarks, local flora and fauna, traditional motifs, and cultural symbols. They are available individually or as a set of five, presented in batik-themed packaging.
