Hasan Nasbi: 'Londo Ireng' Term Aimed at Troublemakers, Not General Public

Hasan Nasbi, Special Advisor to the Indonesian President for Communication and Media, has clarified the context behind President Prabowo Subianto's use of the term 'londo ireng.' Nasbi stated that the term was not directed at the general public but specifically at individuals or groups perceived as preferring to create chaos and negativity.

"It's just a term for some people who, it seems, prefer to be noisy. It seems they prefer to be pessimistic about the life of our nation," Nasbi explained at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta. He indicated that the phrase was intended as a reminder for all national elements to focus on unity rather than amplifying differences.

Nasbi urged the public to foster greater solidarity and optimism when viewing the nation's future. He stressed the importance of reducing pessimism to enable Indonesia to advance more rapidly. "So, for us, this is just a reminder that we should be united. Not to create more chaos, but to increase solidarity," he asserted.
