HEP-Toplinarstvo Announces End of Heating Season in Zagreb and Other Cities

As the weather warms, HEP-Toplinarstvo has announced the official end of the 2025/2026 heating season for a significant portion of its customers. Starting May 5th, the company will begin adjusting its systems to a summer operating mode, marking the conclusion of centralized heating for around 130,000 households and businesses across Zagreb, Osijek, Sisak, Velika Gorica, Samobor, and Zaprešić.

This transition is a routine part of the annual cycle, signaling the shift towards warmer months. However, HEP-Toplinarstvo has also issued important guidance for consumers who plan to undertake maintenance or renovations on their internal heating installations before the next season begins in September. The company emphasizes the need for coordination with building representatives and HEP-Toplinarstvo itself to ensure proper draining and refilling of the system, thereby avoiding potential complications.

After the completion of all work on the internal heating installations, the representative of co-owners must provide HEP-Toplinarstvo with written confirmation that all work has been successfully completed and that the heating system in the building is ready to receive thermal energy.

The readiness for the 2026/2027 heating season is slated to officially commence on September 15th, with the actual heating commencement dependent on prevailing weather conditions. This annual cycle of disconnection and reconnection highlights the critical infrastructure that provides essential services to Croatian cities, ensuring comfort and functionality throughout the year.
