HOO Responds to Reports of Police Investigations in Croatia's Governing Sports Body

The Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) has issued a public statement addressing recent media speculation regarding alleged police investigations within its headquarters. In a move aimed at transparency and dispelling rumors, the HOO clarified its position on the matter, emphasizing its commitment to cooperating with all relevant authorities.

We emphasize that the HOO, right at the beginning of the affair related to the Croatian Skiing Federation, provided all relevant documentation and materials to the competent institutions, and the same was done in the case related to the Croatian Judo Federation, thus acting transparently and in accordance with legal obligations.

According to the HOO's statement, the committee has consistently provided all necessary documentation and materials to the relevant institutions. This cooperation began at the outset of scandals involving the Croatian Skiing Federation and continued with the Croatian Judo Federation. The HOO explicitly stated that, since the emergence of these issues, no officials from any investigative or judicial bodies have physically entered their premises. This assertion directly counters the narrative of an ongoing police presence or inquiry within the HOO itself.

Therefore, since the beginning of the affairs in the mentioned federations, officials of any investigative or judicial bodies have not been in the premises of the Croatian Olympic Committee.
