Content creator Emmanuel Obruste, widely known as GehGeh, has addressed a wave of criticism following the viral spread of videos depicting him at a traditional wedding ceremony. The online reaction prompted many Nigerians to question the authenticity of the event.

GehGeh, who has built an online brand as a relationship and finance influencer, shared clips from the ceremony on his X platform. The videos showed him and a woman in matching traditional attire. An invitation card visible in one clip indicated the couple's names as Mary and Prosper, with the ceremony scheduled for July 26.

His participation quickly drew backlash, with numerous followers and fellow content creators accusing GehGeh of hypocrisy. Critics argued that his presence at the wedding contradicted the relationship advice he frequently disseminates, particularly his views directed at men and women regarding marriage.
