Indian Embassy in Muscat Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Grandeur and Patriotic Fervor

The Embassy of India in Muscat marked India's 80th Independence Day with a grand celebration attended by over a thousand members of the Indian diaspora and friends of India. The event, held under the theme “Surya Path Tiranga,” featured patriotic songs and the unfurling of the Indian Tricolour by Ambassador Prashant Pise.

Ambassador Pise addressed the gathering, relaying key messages from the President of India's address to the nation and highlighting India's progress and future aspirations. A cultural program showcased the diverse talents within the Indian community in Oman.

The celebration also honored the significant contributions of the Indian workforce in Oman, emphasizing their role in strengthening India-Oman relations. Various competitions and workshops, including a painting competition, quiz, and photography contest, were organized in the lead-up to the event as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Winners and outstanding participants were recognized with awards, alongside achievers from Indian schools in Oman.

The event brought together a diverse representation of the Indian community, including young achievers, artists, students, and professionals, all united by their national pride. The Embassy extended warm greetings to Indians in Oman and worldwide on this significant occasion.
