Indian PM Modi speaks to PM Balen, offers India’s support after Rasuwa floods

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi contacted Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Wednesday to offer condolences and support following severe floods in the Rasuwa district. The floods, originating from the Tibetan side and flowing through the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers, have caused significant damage in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and other downstream areas.

Modi conveyed India's solidarity with the Nepali people during this challenging time. He assured Prime Minister Shah that India stands ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to Nepal as it confronts the aftermath of the disaster.

Following their conversation, Modi confirmed that Indian officials are actively coordinating with their Nepali counterparts. This collaboration is focused on implementing effective rescue and relief operations to aid those affected by the devastating floods. The disaster has resulted in loss of life and property, highlighting the urgent need for coordinated aid efforts.
