Indonesia Aims for Historic Hajj 2026 with New Organizing Milestones

Indonesia is gearing up for the upcoming Hajj season with a clear ambition: to set a new historical precedent for the pilgrimage. Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, expressed this vision during the briefing and dispatch of the first batch of Hajj organizing officials (PPIH) for the 1447 Hijriyah/2026 Masehi Hajj. He urged the approximately 400 officials heading to Saudi Arabia to make the 2026 Hajj a landmark event.

Minister Simanjuntak stressed that the success of this historical undertaking rests on the shoulders of the officials themselves. He highlighted the intensive month-long training they received, emphasizing the need for unwavering solidarity and adherence to the directives of their leaders. This coordinated approach, he believes, is crucial for achieving the shared vision of a groundbreaking Hajj operation.
