Indonesia Poised to Lead Al-Aqsa Liberation Efforts Through Knowledge, Not Force

Indonesia possesses a unique geopolitical advantage that could position it to lead international efforts for the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to international academic Prof. Abdul Fattah el-Awaisi.

El-Awaisi, an expert in Baitul Maqdis studies, stated that the path to liberation is not through military might but through the development of knowledge, critical thinking, and strategic planning. He drew a parallel with the early days of Islam, where Prophet Muhammad began his mission with the command to read and build knowledge, not with military campaigns.

He noted that colonial powers historically employed a similar approach, conducting extensive research and developing long-term strategies before deploying troops to conquer territories, including Palestine and Indonesia.

El-Awaisi lamented that while colonizers followed this "natural law" of prioritizing knowledge, many in the Muslim world often neglect it. He called for a "liberation of mind" among Muslims, emphasizing that solidarity with Palestine must extend beyond emotional support. True support, he argued, requires a robust understanding of history, geopolitics, and rigorous scientific study.
