Indonesia Sends Full Squad to China Open 2026

Indonesia is fielding a strong contingent of 12 players across all disciplines at the prestigious 2026 China Open, a BWF Super 1000 badminton tournament held in Changzhou from July 21-26. The event boasts a substantial prize pool of $2 million USD.

In the men's singles, Jonatan Christie and Alwi Farhan will represent Indonesia, while Putri Kusuma Wardani competes in the women's singles. The nation's hopes in men's doubles rest on three pairs: Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, and Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin.

Women's doubles features Rachel Allessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari, and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi. Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, the defending champions, enter the tournament as the second seeds. They recently clinched the 2026 Japan Open title, defeating the world's top pair Kim Won-ho/Seo Seung-jae. Their opening match at the China Open will be against China's Huang Di/Liu Yang.
