Indonesia Trains 399 State-Owned Enterprise Employees in Leadership Program

Indonesia has launched an intensive nine-month leadership program for 399 employees of state-owned enterprises (BUMN). The Presidential Future Leaders Program (P3MD), also known as PFLP, is designed to cultivate strategic leaders for the future.

Participants are 399 active BUMN employees from various state-owned companies across Indonesia who will undergo intensive education for 9 months.

The program's initial phase involves character building at the Indonesian National Armed Forces' Training Command (Kodiklat TNI) in Serpong. Participants undergo training in discipline, leadership, national defense, national insight, communication, and physical and mental resilience. This is followed by managerial education covering governance, decision-making, digital transformation, and cybersecurity, culminating in internships and assignments within ministries and BUMNs.

The guidance provided by the Minister of Defense is part of this character formation, instilling values of nationalism, integrity, leadership, and a spirit of service to the nation.

Brigadier General Rico Ricardo, Head of Information and Public Relations at the Ministry of Defense, stated that the program was designed by President Prabowo Subianto and Danantara. He emphasized that the training instills values of nationalism, integrity, leadership, and dedication to the nation. The goal is to produce BUMN leaders who are not only professionally excellent but also possess strong character to contribute to Indonesia's progress.

The first batch of the program is a collaboration between BPI Danantara, the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Body (BP BUMN), the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. The Ministry of Defense's involvement stems from a presidential directive to oversee the program's character-building and national defense components. Funding for the program is entirely provided by BPI Danantara.
