Indonesian Charity Connects Orphans with Mentors to Foster Dreams

Dompet Dhuafa has launched its "Ruang Mimpi: Turn Your Wishes into Vision" program, connecting dozens of underprivileged children with mentors from various creative fields. The initiative, held at Yayasan Aria Putra Utama in Ciputat, South Tangerang, aims to inspire young minds to set and achieve their aspirations.

General Manager of Marketing Communication (Marcom) at Dompet Dhuafa, Suci Qadarsih, explained that the program specifically targets junior and senior high school students. Twenty-five orphans were paired with 25 mentors, including content creators, influencers, bloggers, and community representatives. This setup provides a unique opportunity for the children to gain guidance and encouragement.

Suci emphasized the program's goal of instilling confidence in the children. "Orphaned children might feel their dreams are too big. However, we want to instill that no dream is too big for them to achieve," she stated. The vision board activity encourages them to visualize their goals, while the mentorship provides practical support to make those dreams a reality.
