Indonesian Comedian Temon Templar Dies at 59

Indonesian comedian Simson Rarameha Ngadang, affectionately known as Temon Templar, died on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 59. His passing was announced via his official Instagram account, @temontemplar27, with details of his funeral arrangements shared for his final resting place in South Jakarta.

Temon Templar was best known for his role in the popular 2008 sitcom 'Abdel & Temon: Not a Superstar,' where he starred alongside fellow comedian Abdel Achrian. Achrian expressed his profound grief over Temon's death, sharing a cherished photo of their past collaborations on Instagram with a heartfelt farewell message.

Another close friend and colleague, comedian Bopak Castello, also shared his deep sorrow. Castello posted several photos of himself and Temon on Instagram, bidding farewell to his "good friend who brought joy" and wishing him peace.

Born in Jakarta on December 28, 1966, Temon Templar pursued higher education at the University of Indonesia, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. His acting career extended beyond the sitcom, including appearances in soap operas like 'Preman Sholeh' and 'Menolak Talak.'
